For my Masterpiece Complete Austen-watching friends

I know a few folks here have watched the first two entries in the Masterpiece Complete Jane Austen series. Please, tell me:

-Was Northanger Abbey just far and away better than Persuasion? I mean, the guy who wrote the screenplay for the really good Pride and Prejudice also worked on NA, so my instincts say yes. However, I might be biased, because...

-Was the guy who played Henry Tilney really rather attractive? Not quite Colin Firth in P&P levels of attractive, but higher than Hugh Grant in S&S?
